Micro
pigmentation
Micropigmentation is a cosmetic procedure that uses a small hand-held machine, which has a super fine needle attached, to put coloured pigment into the skin. It is similar to a tattoo machine, but the needle does not go as deep into the skin as a tattoo. In addition, the pigment used is made of bigger molecules that get metabolised over time, making them fade away.
Micropigmentation can be used to create a variety of effects, and is therefore more versatile than microblading. It is used to shade areas of the skin, such as lips, ombre brows and eyeliner. It can also be used to create hairstrokes, which is used for eyebrows, to create natural looking brows.
The treatment typically lasts for 18 months, but requires top-ups. The initial top-up should be done four to six weeks after the initial treatment, and is included in the initial price package. Any further treatments are not included in this price. Depending on your skin type, your face products and treatments and sun exposure, microblading will need refreshing at around 12-18 months.
Microblading is a a semi-permanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows. Instead of using a hand held machine, a small hand tool, with a blade made up of tiny needles, is used to scratch pigment into the skin in short fine strokes, resembling hair. The result is realistic-looking brows that won't wash off.

Whilst tattoos last forever, microblading doesn't. The hairstrokes are not as deeply ingrained into the skin as a tattoo, and the pigment used gets metabolised by the body and fades away.

Ombré
Ombre brows are created using micropigmentation (see above), using a small handheld machine. The effect is similar to using an eyebrow pencil. If you want a fuller makeup effect, this may be suitable for you. If you only want your brows to look like they have natural hair, then this is not the right option for you, and I would recommend hairstrokes using either micropigmentation or microblading techniques.
